Brainball

This is Brainball:

This is me playing Brainball:

It was at Wired's Nextfest over the weekend, and the second video is me playing against my cousin Jeff (who is an excellent photographer, click here to see for yourself). The goal of Brainball is to be more relaxed than the other player (click here for a more thorough explanation). To play, you put that headband on that contains electrodes that monitor your brain activity. It compares the brainwaves of the two players, and the ball (controlled by magnets beneath the table) moves away from the player that is more relaxed. Once you have forced the ball into your opponents little circular zone, you have won. In this game, I won.

I think this is the first game of the future. The main criteria being that it is the first game I've ever played that was completely controlled by my brain. Some people were playing with their eyes closed, and had to be told when the game was over.
